West Bengal has solar potential of 6.26 GW. West Bengal has on an average 300-330 sunny days, with solar insolation 5-5.5 (kwh/m2/day).
West Bengal has solar generation targets of 100 MW by 2017 and 500 MW by 2022 and the total solar capacity of state till now is 7.21 MW.
