Maharashtra is a state in western India and has the solar potential of 64.32 MW.

Target:

Maharashtra is so ambitious about its solar power capacity and has a target of 7500 MW.

Scenario:

Maharashtra Government has finalized its final Renewable Energy Policy. The policy will be known as Maharashtra Renewable Energy Policy 2015. Regional committee will be established to monitor the overall progress of the policy and will be headed by the principal secretary of energy.

State has a target of 7500 MW, of which 2500 MW will be used to fulfil RPO through Public private partnership in association with MahaGenco. And rest 5000 MW will be developed by other developers.
